The camerata is an incredibly diverse group of musicians who work together in equality and therefore rehearsals and performances have a special energy and musical depth that I find totally unique.

Mary Elliott

Born in Wales in 1985, Mary Elliott studied with Louise Hopkins at the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music, with Hannah Roberts at the Northern College of Music, and with Patrick Demenga at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) where she earned all of her diplomas with honors.

Mary Elliott has won a number of prizes, including the RNCM Lindley, Hirsch, Grenade and Weil, and theElizabeth Evans Award in 2008. She has participated in many masterclasses including with Mstislav Rostropovich, Colin Carr, Ralph Kirschbaum and Bernard Greenhouse.

Mary Elliott has performed with the Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Mstislav Rostropovich at Royal Albert Hall as well as at the Menuhin Festival in Gstaad. She currently plays in various orchestras around the world, including the Lausanne Chamber Orchestra and the Sinfonietta de Lausanne.

Mary Elliott teaches cello at the International School in Lausanne.
