Maxime Ganz

Maxime Ganz was born in France in a family of musicians and began cello lessons at the age of five. He studied at the Conservatoire National of Strasbourg with Jean Deplace and at the Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofía with Natalia Shakhovskaya, then at the Hochschule der Künst. Maxime Ganz continued to study with great soloists and professors such Natalia Gutman, Frans Helmersson, Truls Mork, Ivan Monighetti and Philippe Müller.

Maxime Ganz has won a number of prizes in various international competitions.

Maxime Ganz has performed in various chamber orchestras directed by Rudolf Barshai, Sir Colin Davis and Vladimir Ashkenazy. He performs as soloist with the BSO (Berner Symphonie Orchester), the Cappella Istropolitana of Bratislava, the Russian State Chamber Orchestra and Orquestra Nacional de Uruguay.
